Tektronix Logic Analyzers are shipped with this software already installed. In order to update an earlier version of TLA Application Software, or to control your logic analyzer remotely from a PC over a network connection, you must explicitly install this software. To install this software, refer to the installation notes below. This update to V5.8 of the TLA Application has the following changes: 1. Adds iView™ support for Tektronix MDO4054, MDO4104, MSO72004, and DSA71254C oscilloscopes 2. Fixes a problem that caused some binary exports to fail due to a LF byte being inserted where a CR byte exists in the exported data 3. Fixes a TLA crash when repeatedly copying and pasting channel group names for parallel modules 4. Fixes a byte order problem with large groups 5. Fixes a problem with comparisons in the listing and waveform windows that caused some samples to be ignored 6. Fixes a problem with Export/Import of channels with threshold values 7. Fixes a problem that caused a setup window threshold value in preset box to disappear at 1.005V 8. Fixes a problem where threshold scoping buttons in the Signal Sampling dialog didn't track channel selections made in the LA Setup window If you are upgrading from V5.7 of the TLA Application, V5.8 has the following major changes: 1. Supports the new TLA7SAxx Logic Protocol Analyzer modules 2. Improves data search performance 3. Adds iView™ support for direct USB communication with Tektronix oscilloscopes that accept a Standard-B connection 4. Removes iView™ dependency on NI-488.2 software for direct GPIB communication with Tektronix oscilloscopes that accept a GPIB connection 5. Provides a new version (V3.3.4.6) of OpenChoice TekVISA, which requires a manual uninstall of V3.3.0.14 (See Installation Notes, Section 2, below for details) 6. Requires a firmware image update for the TLA7Axx modules (TLA7Axx.LOD) 7. Changes the location of TLA Application log files and problem reports (See Operational Notes, Section 5, below for details) If you are upgrading from V5.6 of the TLA Application, V5.8 has the following major changes: 1.
